Accordingly, three self-developed "Perception of Maternal Psychological Control Scale", "Self-Esteem Scale", and "Indecisiveness Scale" were utilized as research instruments to conduct a questionnaire to high school students who were majoring in food and beverage management department during the 105th school year in Taiwan, excluding the region of the East and of the outlying islands. As a result, a total of 724 valid questionnaires were collected out of 820 questionnaires, in which included 96 questionnaires with missing data, giving an effective response rate of 89.83%. The data of the survey were analyzed by independent sample t-test, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The research findings are as follows: 1. The vocational school students have a lower level of perception of maternal psychological control scale. 2. On the scale of perception of maternal psychological control, male students reached a higher score than female students. 3. The male students reached a higher score than female students on the aspect of "being lackadaisical" in indecisiveness scale. 4. The aspect of "dependency-oriented psychological control" is the most significant predictor of the aspect of "being neurotic". 5. The aspect of "achievement-oriented psychological control" is the second most significant predictor of the aspect of "being lackadaisical". 6. The aspect of "evaluation" is the most significant predictor of the aspect of "being perfectionistic". 7. The aspect of "control" is the second most significant predictor of the aspect of "being perfectionistic”. Based on the above research results, the following suggestions were made: 1. Children’ capability of independence is recommended for mothers to foster as early as possible. 2. Mothers should have an accurate attitude towards gender traits; 3. School curriculum is suggested to add the issue of predictive learning; 4. Mothers had better let go of children for decision-making; 5. Mothers would be better to comprehend their children' aptitude for guiding directions and expectations; 6. Teachers are recommended to assist students in evaluating the standards of self-identification. 7. Students are advised to discover a decision to meet their abilities. In conclusion, this research can be a valuable reference to future research, family education, and student counseling. TU, YI-CHAN 杜宜展 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 142 zh-TW
