Description
Summary:碩士 === 南華大學 === 應用社會學系社會學碩士班 === 105 === This study, based on Rational Choice Theory and General Theory of Crime, aimed to investigate the relations among the evaluation of the costs and benefits of deviant behavior , low self-control, and junior high school students’ delinquency. Data collection implemented by questionnaire is based on total 871 junior high school students from 12 junior high schools in Yulin and Chiayi areas. The research statistics methods include descriptive statistic, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study are shown as following: 1) The evaluation of the costs of deviant behavior was able to limit deviant behavior; 2) The evaluation of the psychological benefits had significant positive impacts on deviant behavior; 3) There was a positive relationship between lower self-control and deviant behavior. In conclusion, the suggestions for school administration, consultant and future research are proposed based on the discussion of above results.
