Previous Research shows that bullying has a significant effect on children and adolescents mental health, and is related to deviant behavior. The impact of bullying extends well into adulthood, resulting an serious public health problem. Research on deviant behavior resulting from bullying in Taiwan is less. Therefore, this study aims to explore the effects of bullying victimization experience on deviant behavior in adolescents in Taiwan. Objectives: (1) Analyzing the characteristics among individual, family and school-related factors and deviant behavior. (2) The association between bullying victimization experience and deviant behavior in adolescents. (3) Discussing whether there is interaction among bullying victimization experience and factors of deviant behavior. Methods: The study is a cross-sectional study, and the data were extracted from the Taiwan Education Panel Survey (TEPS). We use the 2001 (first wave) and 2005 (third wave) datasets, in order to analyze deviant behavior and bullying victimization experience. In all of the test conducted in the study, p<0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: There were 19,657 students in the junior high school period, including 17, 622 no bullying victimization experienced, accounting for 89.6%, and 2,035 bullying victimization experienced, accounting for 10.4%. There were 19,672 students in the senior high school period, including 17,772 no bullying victimization experienced, accounting for 90.3%, and 1,900 bullying victimization experienced, accounting for 9.7%. The study found that, regardless of the period in the junior high school or senior high school, when the students have bullying victimization experience, the deviant behavior scores will be higher. Furthermore, people who are men, delayed bedtime, did not live with their families, siblings more, single-parent family, poor relationship with their parents, few friends, inappropriate discipline of teachers, etc had higher deviant behavior scores. And the above variables will interact with bullying victimization experience, modify the impact of deviant behavior. Conclusion: The present study found that bullying victimization experience has a significant effect on students deviant behavior. When other factors were adjusted, the influence on the deviation behavior was still significant, indicating that were bullying victimization experience was the independent influencing factor of the students deviant behavior. Some of the variables such as the basic characteristics of the students, the family-related factors and the school-related factors were not only the influencing factors of the deviation behavior, but also interact with bullying Victimization experience. As a result it deepened the occurrence of deviant behavior. LIN, FU-GONG 林富宮 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 116 zh-TW
