With case study, interviews and relevant document collection are proceeded to deeply understand disadvantaged students’ education dilemmas, the support of administration system of the case school, and further realize the difficulties of the school in supporting disadvantaged students. The research conclusions are summarized as below. I.Current situation of disadvantaged students in the case school Disadvantaged students are about 2/3 of all students in the case school in the academic year of 2016, and about 1/4 of such students are double or multiple disadvantaged. The adaptation difficulties of disadvantaged students, in proportion, are learning, life, and behavior in sequence. II.Current situation of the case school’ administration system support The department and office teams make their effort, cooperate and support each other, and actively connect with off-campus professional resources, positively help disadvantaged students, the classes, and the families. III.Difficulties of the case school’ administration system support in disadvantaged students The school’s multiple and flexible courses could hardly satisfy student needs; it is not easy to communicate with some disadvantaged families; there is no consensus with social workers about the cases; the effect of police units intervening in processing drop-out is limited; and, the contact with the units is inadequate and the cooperation is not easy. Finally, suggestions are proposed for schools and relevant units supporting and counseling disadvantaged students as well as for the reference of future research. I.Suggestions for school Schools should open multiple courses and communities to promote career development education, deepen the school staff’s counseling competency and establish the case counseling database, as well as connect with off-campus professional support and conduct parenting education activity. II.Suggestions for education authority Centered on education units, communication platforms with good confidential mechanisms connecting with education, social welfare, police, and medical units should be established and the communication channels should be smoothed. The placement of professional counselors in schools should accord to local conditions and school conditions. III.Suggestions for government policy The government should assist disadvantaged parents in the empowerment, enrich cultural resources in communities, and integrate relevant units to assist disadvantaged students in the after-school life, the care for learning, and the discipline of behaviors. Moreover, social workers and police manpower should be made up and contact channels with schools should be reinforced.
