Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 觀光暨休閒遊憩學系 === 105 === Many studies have focused on ways to achieve the best quality of leisure through “casual leisure “and “serious leisure”. However, there is still a shortage of academic research on the problems of indulgence caused by addiction or excessive pursuit of aesthetics. Dining out is often considered a pleasant sensory activity during holidays, and dining out or just drinking a cup of coffee with friends has become a common leisure activity. More and more tour packages are tailoring to gourmet tourists. This study explored how the hedonic and aesthetic factors of culinary experiences had affected the quality of leisure. It applied Photo Elicitation in interviewing 18 subjects and the results showed that: (1) interviewees identified to be “gastronomes” showed the characteristics of “casual leisure” and “serious leisure” during their food tasting, dining or culinary experience; (2) gastronomes could provide recommendations to the catering industry and consumers, even though there were differences in their opinions about the factors that affected the best culinary tourism experiences; (3) hedonic and aesthetic factors could affect the quality of leisure, while aesthetics was always the ideal and goal for the optimal leisure experiences.
