In our study, we used red, green, yellow and blue cloth as experimental materials hanging on the walls. The study is divided into two parts. The first part is normal experimental condition, and the second part is the simulation scenarios of counseling processes. Our purpose is the emotion and physiology of client can get some help by the influence of color in the counseling process. The results are as followed: In the first part, there are 16 emotional terms in the space-color-emotion scale, and there are 13 emotional terms appearing significant differences. About two kinds of physiological indicators, galvanic skin response (GSR) and skin temperature (Temp), there is only GSR appearing significant difference in the 60-90 second group; in the second part, the participants only have 4 groups appearing significant differences in the space-color-emotion scale, while two kinds of physiological indicators are not appearing significant differences. Though parts of our study doesn’t show significant difference, we can still find that there are distinctions between the tendencies that how different colors influence both emotional and physiological indicators. The biggest common of these two parts is that the red space let participants feel “stimulating, exciting,” and the blue space let participants feel “relaxing, calm,”.
