Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育學系研究所 === 105 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between internet addiction tendency and school adjustment of fifth- and sixth-grade students at Changhua area. This study took " Chen Internet Addiction Scale, CIAS " and " school adjustment " as measurement tools for collecting data. The population of this study included students in 10 elementary schools in Changhua area. This study adopted the stratified sampling . Totally 446 valid questionnaire were collected. The analysis of the data included mean, standard deviation, t-test, one-way dependent ANOVA, one-way independent ANOVA and canonical correlation. The main findings were as follows:
1.The students had an low level of internet addiction tendency.
2.The students' school adjustment was good.
3.The students with different gender have significant differences of internet addiction tendency, girls' internet addiction tendency is relatively low than boys. However, there is no significant differences due to students' grades and family socioeconomic status.
4.The students with different gender and family socioeconomic status have significant differences of school adjustment, girls got higher scores than boys, hight family socioeconomic got the highest score. However, there is no significant differences due to students' grades.
5.The relationship between Internet Addiction tendency and school adjustment is negative.
