Summary: | 碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 輔導與諮商學系研究所 === 105 === This study aims to investigate the experiences of rebound relationship. This is a
qualitative narrative research using semi-structured in-depth interviews with four
participants to collect information. Firstly, the study uses “holistic content” analysis to evaluate the complete narrative information. Secondly, the study uses “categorical content” analysis to determine the core elements that affect the rebound relationships.
Based on the research findings, it was found that a) breakup experiences can be staged into “gradual breakup” and “response after breakup”, b) four themes were identified in the new relationship: “acquainted before breakup and attraction built-up”, “security associated with the rebound relationship”, “shadow and entanglement with the ex-partner” and “growth and feelings conferred by the current relationship”, c) factors that affect starting a new relationship include “personal factors”, “family”, “available partner” and “mutual compatibility”.
This research provides more constructed knowledge regarding the rebound
relationship, and provides specific recommendations in practical work when working with such cases.
