Summary: | 碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 資訊管理學系所 === 105 === Construction industry is considered as a lead sector for economic growth and an important sign for national construction. Changhua County has the highest population other than the six main counties, and its city is the center of tourism industry and economic development. This study focuses on the critical success factors for small to medium sized companies in the construction industry. The purpose is to apply theory to practice and complement current research. Construction companies can therefore come up effective strategic planning to improve operation and build competitive advantages for long term development.
This study uses literature analysis technology and Delphi technology. With the discussion and suggestions of two scholars and eighteen experts, we come out twenty three questions and narrow down to four categories: land and capital, development and product planning, construction quality, and marketing. Three surveys using Delphi techniques were conducted.
This study eventually comes out eight elements that are critical success factors to promote small sized construction business in Changhua County. The eight elements are: conditions for location and cost of land, target market and customer business plan, construction design, construction quality, high quality factory selection, multichannel selling strategy, and branding. The study can serve as a reference for construction companies for business operation as well as for government to make future policies for home construction.
