Stratified cluster sampling and the survey method were used in this study and the instrument was composed of four parts, including personal information and physical fitness scores, basic psychological needs scales, and self-regulated learning scales. 7,8,9 grades students were selected from four junior high schools in Taipei, and returned 807 valid questionnaires. Descriptive statistics, T-test, one-way ANOVA, Spearman rank correlation, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, and multiple linear regression were used to analyze data. The main findings revealed that: 1. The level of junior high school students’ physical fitness was between medium to bronze medal in Taipei. Students participated physical fitness activities could satisfy more basic psychological needs and show the abilities of self-regulated learning. 2. The background factors of junior high school students were significant differences for physical fitness, basic psychological needs, and self-regulated learning. 3. There were significant correlations among all dimensions of junior high school students’ physical fitness, basic psychological needs and self-regulated learning. 4. Junior high school students’ physical fitness and basic psychological needs could predict significantly the extent of self-regulated learning. Finally, some suggestions for teachers, schools and future research were proposed according to the results of this study. Wang, Chih-Hung 王智弘 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 154 zh-TW
