Summary: | 博士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 教育研究所 === 105 === The study has three aims: 1. probing the differences of diverse background elementary school teachers’ awareness of different principals’ leading styles. Probing the relationship between elementary school principals’ Charasmatic leadership and organizational change with the mediation effect of school social network. 4. Probing the relationship between elementary school principals’ transactional leadership and organizational change with the mediation effect of school social network. Participants were recruited from Taichung City, Changhua County and Miaoli County, using stratified cluster sampling. Participants were asked to complete survey questionnaires on “the influence of elementary school principal’s Charismatic leadership and transactional leadership on organizational change - school social network as a mediator”. The try-out processes have been done to authenticate validity and reliability of study instruments. The response rate is 84.90% with 866 out of 1020 returned questionaires. The data is analysed by descriptive statistics, item analysis, ANOVA, T-test or F-test, and structural equation modeling.
The conclusions are as the following.
1. The relationship, centralization and resource acquisition of the social network of elementary school have obvious perceptions, and the recognition of social norms is relatively low.
2. The greater effect of school social network mediation of principals’ transactional leadership were higher for male teachers; 30-40 years old teacher age group comparative higher than other age group; 11-15 years teaching experiences comparative higher than other teaching experiences groups; teachers from 13-24 students class size group were higher than other students class size group .
3. The great effect of school social network mediation of principals’ transactional leadership were higher for female teachers; 30-40 years old teacher age group comparative higher than other age group; 11-15 years teaching experiences comparative higher than other teaching experiences groups; homeroom teachers and the teachers who teach size with more than 49 students were higherest among the prospective comparing groups.
The results reflected the status quo how elecmentary school teachers perceived principal Charismatic leadership and transactional leadership and can be served as references for implementing future school organizational change.
