You cannot use a variety of multimedia services if you locate in an area without internet support. The Wi-Fi Alliance announced Wi-Fi Direct technology in 2010, enabling direct connectivity between devices without the need for any wireless infrastructure support and inheriting the benefits of Wi-Fi such as high bandwidth, security, and popularity. While Bluetooth is another wireless technology and suitable for multimedia transmission over short distances. In this thesis, we propose a mixed Wi-Fi Direct/Bluetooth network P2P media streaming application that provides audio streaming and text messaging services and does not require any Internet support. The use of Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth support each other, the real transmission distance can be extended.
