For further understanding the nano-scale applications of surface modification, we study the morphology change of polymeric materials in the modified pores of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates. This dissertation has two parts. In the first part (Chapter 3), we investigate the dewetting phenomenon of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) thin films coated in the nanopores of modified AAO templates. Through observing different thermal annealing times, we conclude that the mechanism of dewetting for thin films in coated naopores is spinodal decomposition. In the second part (Chapter 4), we fabricate the AAO templates with double-sized nanopores and different surface properties using the additional processes of pore-widening and surface modification. After the processes, the nanopores with the larger sizes are hydrophobic and the nanopores with the smaller sizes are hydrophilic. This dissertation provides deeper understanding in the morphology changes of polymers confined in the surface-modified nanopores. Chen, Jiun-Tai 陳俊太 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 79 zh-TW
