Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 傳播研究所 === 105 === Concurrent and Retrospective Think Aloud are two different ways to collect the utterance data. According to the purpose of the study, Think Aloud can be used to explore the cognition process or finding the usability problems. The purpose of this study is to establish a effectively way to discover the usability of visualization software, it use metacognition as the theoretical foundation and use eye tracking to support Think Aloud to collect utterance data. The Design of the experiment is 2(Concurrent Think Aloud) x 2(Retrospective Think Aloud) between task, the purpose is to review the performance, satisfaction and mental workload throw the experiment, and the utterance data will be analyzed by content analysis, to strengthen the utterance’s reliability. The results of the study found that the combination of Concurrent and Retrospective Think Aloud produce the most useful insight of the usability problems of visualization software. While the Concurrent Think Aloud doesn’t cause higher mental workload and satisfaction as expected, which made the combination is suitable for making reliable utterance data.
