| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 體育推廣學系 === 107 === The purpose of the study was to assess the current situations, obstacles and strategies of the development of track, and field sports in secondary schools in New Taipei City. A questionnaire method was adopted to collect the data in this study. 250 questionnaires were sent out, 239 were recollected, and the effective rate was 95.6%. Analysis of description statistics, Multivariate analysis of variance Lambda value, one-way ANOVA, and Snow fee method (scheffe) Conduct post-mortem was adopted in this study. Factor analysis of the questionnaires resulted in several conclusions as below. First, overall in the development of track and field sports in secondary schools in New Taipei City, Universiade contribute to the promotion the track and field development reached the highest score and the lowest in attach importance to development of track and field sports. Second, the barriers factor in the track and field in secondary school in New Taipei City, extra charge reached the highest score, and systematic complement reached the lowest score. The barriers to the development of track and field in secondary schools in New Taipei City include selection and training of athletes, coach professional competence, administration funds, etc. By improving these barriers, then the development of sports will progress. Third, the strategies to promote development of track and field in secondary schools may best be plus general policy formulation, plans and projects of physical education. According to the above findings, this research provided some suggestions to the communities that would develop secondary school track and fieldin New Taipei City.
