Summary:碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 國際體育事務碩士學位學程 === 105 === This study focuses on the market and financial feasibilities study of constructing an artificial whitewater course at Tu-Niou sports park in Shigang district, Taichung City. The researcher of this study conducts questionnaire survey to identify the exercise habits of people living in Taichung and their willingnesses to use this artificial whitewater course. Meanwhile, the in-depth interview method also being adopted by the researcher to analyze the whitewater sport promotion and the positing as well as locating of artificial whitewater courses in Taiwan. The results of the study indicate that the market feasibility via questionnaire survey found that most of the people are highly willing to experience the whitewater sport in artificial whitewater courses; in addition, the canoe slalom population already exist and the potential populations also can be explored in Taichung City. Finally, the construction of the artificial whitewater course will be a good opportunity to promote the whitewater sport in Taiwan. In terms of its operation, both the mass and elite of whitewater sports developments should be taken into account at the same time by the promoters to set up the best with diversified functions of the venues. The suggestions of the researcher of this study are: more aspects of fesibilities can be considered to analyze the whole feasibility for this case, and the whtewtaer sport center establisged by Taiwnaese government.
