SM utilizes single transmit antenna at one time, and thus not like other multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems, the inter-channel interference (ICI) can be avoided. Lately, generalized spatial modulation (GSM) technique has presented as well. Spectral efficiency can be improved due to multiple active transmit antennas, but the detection complexity increases unavoidably. Another SM technique named quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) is also developed to improve the spectral efficiency with better usage of the real and imaginary parts of the modulated signals. In terms of detection, maximum likelihood (ML) approach can provide the best detection performance. However, it requires high complexity with a large number of transmit antennas and a high-order modulation. In this thesis, we propose a method to choose some channels with better gains. Detection can then be performed based on the selected channels to lower the computational complexity with almost no loss in error-rate performance. The proposed method can be applied to SM, GSM and QSM systems. LEE,YIN-MAN 李彥文 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 47 zh-TW
