| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 資訊管理學系 === 105 === There are several occasions in which people need various kinds of helpers to facilitate their tasks or fulfill their requirements; Due to the possible limits of time and locations, potential volunteers may not be available to provide on-site services. But these situations could be greatly improved by applying the state of the art technologies like Internet and multi-media. In this study, we apply the HTML5 and the WebRTC to develop a convenient platform on which users can submit their requests, the system can efficiently match those potential helpers and facilitate friendly and easy-to-use interfaces for them to communicate and achieve their tasks. Compared to those conventional approaches and existent platforms, our solution has the merits. First, the application only requires HTML5-compatible browsers and users do not need to install extra plug-ins or update any software. Second, the system can efficiently match each request with potential helpers. Third, the system’s scoring function can dynamically adjust the recommendation list. Based on WebRTC and HTML5, this thesis designs and implements an on-line volunteer matching system that aims to match potential volunteers and to facilitate the services remotely. Several volunteering services like helping the blind, helping the elderly, facilitating language learning and culture learning are included in this system.
