Whenever musicians perform this sentence, they need to turn the page. In orchestra or large ensembles, this situation would not be serious because another one who plays the same part of score could help to turn the page. But in quartet or chamber music, each instrument usually is performed by only one musician. Musicians should turn the page themselves. In order not to interrupt the performance, musicians have to turn the page technically but it is possible to influence the performance quality. This thesis is to design a score following system for music ensembles. Our system records the live performance in real time, transforms live performance into the chroma feature, and uses alignment algorithm to match both performance chroma with reference chroma. The alignment result is used by score following to show where the current measure is. If the system does not turn the page on the right time, musicians can do it themselves.
