As the military image issue in Taiwan has received more attention in recent years, how the military image is presented in the general public, has obviously become worthy exploring. Considered as a method of discourse analysis, Q methodology combines both of qualitative and quantitative methods through a set of logical steps to study subjective perception. This study suggests that the use of Q methodology is particularly more useful for discussing abstract image issues, and the advantage of operant subjectivity can allow respondents to express their personal preferences through this research design. Basically, this study is an exploratory study on the deconstruction of the viewpoints of youth in Taiwan. There are five main points that found out through analyzing responses of youth in Taiwan, including: 1. The inevitable deception under tokenism; 2. Showing respect for discipline under complying with the law; 3. The junior staff members assumed responsibility of senior staff members; 4. Subjecting to the traditional operation and discipline of value; 5. The unescapable collateral punishment thinking under the concept of Family-Governed Monarchic Country. This study discusses the significance of such discourses in order to bolster the lack of relevant research on contemporary military image. At the end, in addition to discussing the findings of the research, the study aims to provide insights for subsequent research topics, as well as Q methodology applications. It is expected that this research will provide inspiration for new research issues. 孫同文 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 92 zh-TW |
