As results, the style of this portraiture is indeed influenced by specific tastes of Pope Paul III and his belonging family, the Farnese, and a crucial artwork manifesting their social status with the power connected. Titian’s networks behind this painting reveals a megascopic picture of historical background, this dissertation concludes patronage background among Titian and Pope Paul III was taking a part of the Council of Trent, following the Counter Reformation, as the reinforcement into the pages of Titian’s patronages. The master painter of Venetian School, Titian (c. 1488/90-1576), painted numerous works about portraits of figures by diverse connections with noble families and its courts, most of the studies regarding to his relationship with Emperor Charles V and the Habsburg Family in the filed of Titian’s patrons and patronages. There are less systemtic arrangements concerntrating on the relationship among Titian and the Farnese Family. This dissertation focus on one of Titian’s portrait, ‘The Pope Paul III and his nephews’ (Italian: ‘Papà Paolo III e suoi Nipoti Alessandro ed Ottavio’ ) and based on the painting his patronage with Pope Paul III and the Farnese. Furthermore, to clarify its traditions and creativities of the painting through carding the development among Titian and the Family, and to analyze as well the possible means of politics and religion. This dissertation then concludes the patronage of Titian and Pope Paul III is indeed significant. Under the patronage with the Farnese family, Titian’s work, ‘Pope Paul III and his Nephews’, is created as a blend with the style differentiating from his previous paintings.
