Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 都市計劃學系 === 105 === The Ministry of Communications has promoted to reduce the use of scooters since 1990, but the transportation survey pointed out the private vehicle usage still higher than public transport in 2015, except Taipei City. In that survey, over 60% of people in Tainan and Kaohsiung chose to use private vehicle. It revealed that the traffic management measures such as preventing illegal parking and constraining vehicle uses were not effective. The measures such as persuading strategies should be considered. This research attempts to study the influence of family, peers and environments on transport mode uses National Cheng Kung University students by using the theory of travel socialization. Using the technique of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to explore and describe the relationships between the influencing factors and students’ transport mode uses. The results show that the safety concerns from family members affect the transport mode use of respondent; the environments such as the accessibility of public transport affect the travel behavior of respondent; the influences of environments are stronger than those of family members.
