This creation not only facilitates economic growth, but also provides speedy, cheap, and worldwide communications between human beings. Nevertheless, the dark side of the Internet is that it has brought about abundant dissemination of illegal and harmful materials. Among them, cyberbullying is perhaps most frequently found. Legislative attempts trying to curb cyberbullying can be found in many countries, and yet, it still seems unstoppable. This dissertation intends to study the various kinds of cyberbullying and the legislative control on the part of the United States and Taiwan. As can be found, although there are specific Acts in the United States regulating and penalizing cyberbullying on the Internet, the results do not seem to be satisfactory. On the other hand, in the case of Taiwan, while relevant articles in the current Criminal Code and other special legislations may be applicable to cyberbullying, the problem seems to be lying in the enforcement side. The establishment of the IWIN can be considered a good start, yet it remains to be seen whether it will fully develop its capacity. Some case studies demonstrate that IWIN is at least operating on the right track. 高玉泉 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 73 zh-TW |
