However, storage is the bottleneck of system efficiency and the key factor of influence on system service time. Concerned about the trade-off between cost and performance, hybrid storage medium with solid-state drives considered as the cache of hard disk drives acquires more benefits by I/O efficiency. This paper probes multi-tenant behavior with interference in multi-tiered storage system. Due to the scheduling and caching decision, several users occupy the cache and the others would be indirectly incurred severe access cost without the cache capacity. In this phenomenon, this paper proposes a novel architecture, PIMS, for improvement of user interference in multi-tiered storage system. From the use of scheduling to caching policy, PIMS restricts to cache scope with logical cache partition and defines weights to adjust user proportion that a user can acquires system resource separately.
