In this study, we reviewed Asparagaceae taxa in Taiwan, with morphology, epidermal morphology, pollen morphology, karyotype, distribution and phylogenetic analysis. We treated 13 genera and 23 species of Asparagaceae in Taiwan, including a new combination Rohdea chinensis (Baker) N. Tanaka var. watanabei (Hayata) Y. H. Tseng & C. T. Chao, lumping Disporopsis arisanensis Hayata as synonym of Do. pernyi (Hua) Diels, confirming the existence of Ophiopogon bodinieri H. Lev in Taiwan and separating from O. intermedius D. Don. The study didn''t support the lumping of Polygonatum chingshuishanianum S. S. Ying as a synonym of Heteropolygonatum altelobatum (Hayata) Y. H. Tseng & C. T. Chao, but did confirm the independent taxonomic status of Po. formosanum (Hayata) Masamune & Simada. The epidermal morphology provides evidence of genera classification and a certain extant of phylogenetic information. The pollen morphology of most species of Asparagaceae in Taiwan were monosulcate grains, exine sculpture and sulcus types provide systematic information of genera and species classification. Karyotype analysis supports the classification of genera within Convallarieae and Polygonateae, polyploidy was found in Ophiopogoneae species, Barnardia japonica (Thunb.) Schult. & Schult. f. showed high karyotype polymorphism. The significance of karyotype in ecology and evolution still need further study elucidate. Phylogenetic analysis support Nolinoideae Burnett as a high bootstrap support monophyletic group, Convallarieae, Ophiopogoneae and Polygonateae were also formed monophyletic group respectively. The inter- and intra- tribe relationship was still not clear, phylogenetic study of Nolinoideae will be an important issue in the future. Yen-Hsueh Tseng 曾彥學 2016 學位論文 ; thesis 380 zh-TW
