Summary:碩士 === 國立政治大學 === 台灣史研究所 === 105 === In the recorded Taiwan history, the Qing Dynasty had played a major part. In that period, thousands of Chinese emigrated from China to Taiwan. Taiwan was under the influence such like language, culture and so on. Until now, Taiwan is still full of Chinese culture features. Especially, the view of life and death are almost keeping the same for hundred years. For example, like ghost, veneration of the dead and Fengshui. Basically, Taiwanese burial culture are constructed of these concepts. This article will talk about Taiwanese graves starting form Qing Dynasty. By analyzing different aspects such as economy, politics, and society. As time goes on the ports be opened in 1860s, western missionary to Taiwan. The impacts of western culture. Finally, it will show the contradiction between public health and funeral traditions in the period of Japanese colony, and how did traditions react. Culture effect are wild and deep but under the outside effect especially when rulers strongly affect to culture developing, what was happen in Taiwan. This article trying to answer it by Taiwanese graves research in the Qing Dynasty.
