碩士 === 明志科技大學 === 機械工程系機械與機電工程碩士班 === 105 === This thesis presents an automatic transmission function for bicycle. We use a Holtek microcontroller HT66F70A for the system calculating core. The worm gear change mechanism is design for to replace the traditional manual shift mechanism. A Hall sensor is installed for to measure the speed of bike and an accelerometer is used for to measure the attitude of bike. According to the speed and attitude, an optimal gear could be calculated and a stepping motor will drive the worm gear change mechanism to the optimal gear for the bike.
