The purposes of the alternator in vehicle are supplying power for the loads and changing for the battery. The speed of engine will affect the output voltage of the alternator. In order to consider both of the comfortable driving and stable power system, the voltage regulators have to use for voltage regulating in generation system. This thesis focuses on two type of voltage regulators which are transistor type and IC type voltage regulators. The implementation and experimental results are presented in the thesis. As a result, the functions of IC type voltage regulators are better than the transistor type voltage regulators.
