The traditional manufacturing industry that requires low-cost human labor and mass production has to face the issue of transformation. Thus, the purpose of this research is to study the IOT technology, and build a cyber-physical unmanned factory. The whole process, including order receiving, materials preparing, job planning and manufacturing, quality inspecting, and shipping, will be monitored based on the IOT system. There are two IOT techniques studied in this research. The first is the LORA system. The structure contains AP and NODE, and uses wireless communication to connect both sides. The purpose is to build a communication protocol, and collect the equipment information to the NODE, then transfer to the AP. The AP can further process and transfer the signal to the remote servers. The second is the IOT-talk platform developed by National Chiao Tung University. This research uses Arduino Yun and PC-Based controller as nodes, and the IOT-talk platform as AP. The information is transferred through internet to connect the whole system. Based on above knowledge, the research introduces LORA and IOT-talk platform to the automatic system in our lab. A small IOT system is build and is used to verify the communication of both methods. Through the IOT technology, the logistic information of the automatic system can be monitored, and is easy to use.
