Summary: | 碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士班 === 105 === In traditional supply system, a “push” supply chain was one where projected demand determines what entered the process. This kind of system usually led to overstocking, or delayed stock. However, the “pull” supply chain in TOC (Theory of Constraint) was one where products entered the supply chain when customers ordered the products. In other words, in a “pull” supply chain, the stocking of goods was based on how much the products had been sold. The higher the frequency of stocking products, the better.
In previous teaching of supply chains, teachers often lectured or brief on the textbook, which may cause students to fail to understand the theory. However, with the advanced technology, multiple learning tools, such as virtual reality and interactive games of learning had arisen. Nevertheless, these tools may take a lot of time to prepare and not every classroom was equipped with necessary facilities. Therefore, this study aims to allow the students to use Excel of Microsoft to simulate the two supply chain strategies by setting few parameters and acquire large data, which helped the students to understand the possible influence of different distribution policies in a short time and enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of teaching.
