Both were experts on collecting other former calligraphers’ characters. During Ming dynasty, Taige Script(臺閣體) was prevailing. This made calligraphy become a stepping stone for official posts; the format-based script learning kept calligraphy from moving forward. Until Xu You Zhen(1407-1472) appearing in Mid-Ming dynasty, gradually some calligraphers started to learn from Mi Fu’s works, such as Zhu Yun Ming(1460-1526), Wen Zheng Ming(1470-1559). A swift and rapid change on calligraphy occurred at that time. Wang Duo learned from the ancient calligraphy. He created his own style by “self melted into the ancient” philosophy. In the process of learning from the ancient, he was almost fifty years old; he wanted to make some achievement and broke through the existed calligraphy world. He simulated widely the former calligraphers’ works. In 14 years of Chong Zhen, Wang Duo was fifty years old. His main approach to learning was to simulate Mi Fu’s works to enhance himself and set up his own style of calligraphy. This study is a comparison of differences between Wang Duo’s simulations and original MI Fu’s works. This study consists of five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, the description of study motivation, purpose and the methodology. The Second chapter is about Wang Duo’s calligraphic resources. This chapter will have a review of Wang Duo’s inherited teachings, calligraphic styles, and late Ming Dynasty’s impcats on Wang Duo. Then it will have a discussion on Wang Duo’s influence towards late calligraphers. Chapter 3 is the study of Wang Duo’s book of LangHua Palace . There is a comparison study on the writing axis and word forms between Mi Fu’s original work and Wang Duo’s simulation book. Chapter four is the discussiuon of Wang Duo’s simulation works of Mi Fu. It will also include a comparision study between Wang Duo’s and Mi Fu’s on their writing axises and word forms. Chapter five is the conclusion. LIN, CHUN-CHEN 林俊臣 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 136 zh-TW
