Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 觀光事業學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === This study investigated the relationship among teachers’ professional competencies, student learning outcomes and career development. This study conducted the distribution of questionnaire to students from Food and Beverage department in New Taipei City from March 2015 to April 2015. In this study, a convenient sample was used to collect a total of 607 valid questionnaires for further analysis. The data was analyzed with descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results of the empirical findings showed that teachers’ professional competencies have the significant impact on student learning outcomes; student learning outcomes significantly influenced career development; and teachers’ professional competencies also have the significant impact on career development. The dimensions of “Professional skill ability”, “professional attitude” and “counseling ability” of teachers’ professional competencies significantly affect “cognitive domain”, “psychomotor domain”, and ”affective domain” of student learning outcomes. “Cognitive domain” and “psychomotor domain” dimensions of student learning outcomes show significant effects on “career exploration” and “career orientation” dimensions of career development. Finally, “personal traits” and “professional attitude” dimensions of teachers’ professional competencies significantly influence “career exploration” and “career orientation” dimensions of career development. Based on the findings, conclusions, recommendations and limitations are provided as a useful reference for school, hospitality industry and future research.
