To achieve the research purposes, the literature concerning basic concepts of copyright, fair use of copyright, and the copyright-related issues on campus were organized and analyzed and served as the theoretical basis of this study. On the basis of literature review, the researcher designed the questionnaire of “Undergraduates’ Cognition of and Attitude towards Copyright” as a research tool. Eight variables were studied including gender, age, grade, department, time online, information tools, living expenses, and place of residence. The differences between the cognition of copyright and the behavior and attitude towards copyright were also discussed. The stratified random sampling method was conducted among research subjects, a sample of about 545 students from a university. Statistical methods included descriptive statistics independent sample t test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation. In addition, cluster analysis was adopted to delve into the cognitive dimension of copyright and others. The findings of this study are as follows: 1.The University students have higher understanding level of copyright cognition, especially about “the concept of copyright.” 2.The University students have higher positive agreement of the Attitudes and Behavior to copyright, especially to “reasonable use of copyright.” 3.There are significant differences on the Scale of Copyright Cognition in the directions of gender, grade and time online. 4.There are significant differences on the Scale of Attitude and Behavior to Copyright in the directions of gender. 5.The cognition, attitudes and behavior of copyright of university students in the degree of gender, girls are higher than boys. 6.The relationship between the cognition and attitude, Behavior of University Students to the copyright presents positive correlation.
