Based on questionnaires and Taiwanese teenagers’ survey data released from “Taiwan Youth Project (TYP)”, this study used panel study on 7th graders in 2000 with a sample of 1,739 students crossed 6 waves. (7th to 9th grade in junior high school, 3rd grade in high school, sophomore and senior in university). According to the analysis of latent growth model (LGM), the results show: 1.Two phases in the development of Taiwan teenagers’ depressive mood. Positive growth in the first phase (from 7th grade to 9th grade). This means the depressive mood of teenagers’ in Taiwan gets worse with age during the period of junior high. Slightly negative growth in the second phase (from 3rd grade in high school to senior in university) signifies the depressive mood goes down gradually from post puberty to early adulthood. 2.The significant difference of teenagers’ depressive mood between different genders in Taiwan. Female teenagers’ at 7th grade have more depressive mood than male teenagers’. However, the growth rate of depressive mood with male teenagers’ is higher than female teenagers’ in the first phase. 3.Depressive mood is correlative with self-esteem with teenagers’ at each phase. Finally, according to the findings, this study offered some suggestions for future study and the teaching guidance for teachers. WU,PO-HAN 巫博瀚 2017 學位論文 ; thesis 79 zh-TW |
