In the face of a major change of national policies, this study aims to make an in-depth exploration of the willingness of voluntary military service personnel to remain in the army, and a further exploration of whether the variable of family background had a significant impact on the willingness of voluntary military service personnel to remain in the army, so as to help the national army to retain high-quality talents and reserve appropriate manpower to achieve the strategic objective of "solid defense and effective deterrence". In this study a survey was conducted on volunteer military service officers, sergeants and soldiers concerning the national policies such as "organization change", " recruiting policy " and "pension reform". Purposivesampling questionnaires were issued 200 questionnaires were distributed a total of 200valid questionnaires, the effective rate was 100%. The data by descriptive statistics, independent sample t test, pearson correlation analysis, Anova analysis & regressionanalysis. The results indicated that:(1)The national policies of "pension reform" had made a significant impact on the willingness of voluntary military service personnel to remain in the army.(2) Willingness to remain in the army would varydepending on the voluntary military's background and have a significant difference.
