Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 金融系金融資訊碩士在職專班 === 105 === After the financial crisis in 2008, the stock market plunged and tightening of the banking loans. However, due to the rise of crowdfunding and with the Internet, for start-ups or private individuals lack of funds, crowdfunding platform is a source of finance to raise funds. For various types of projects can be cross the types, cross the geographic regions of funding. Whether Europe or the United States and even China, crowdfunding is an important and new financial method for the private individuals or SME to demand funds. In the study, we introduce the development and current situation of the crowdfunding platform of the United States, Britain, China and Taiwan .We study to analyze the geographic effect of crowdfunding-empirical evidence from Kickstarter video game funding data by probit model and bivariate probit model. In our study, the various for the United States or non-US differences and we explore its funding results and the relation of the successful funding and analyze the geographical differences to the funder's operations. Through empirical analysis, we found that local funding project a higher probability of success, but also a high probability of the delinquent, non-US local projects are in arrears low probability of the delinquent. The goal of crowdfunding size is more larger, the higher the probability of failure and the successful cases appears likely to be delinquent. The high frequency of updates will increase the success. Interesting finding is that local or non-local differences in the funding project to raise the public's launch also have different preferences on the performance of signals of the quality. Such as non-local rather than no video play and prefer to use a large number of images to arrange signals, and also more than no links with the facebook. In Taiwan, the creative performance is very well-known, and with the potential to participate the international crowdfunding platform. We trust to study the geographical effects of the crowfunding are beneficial on the development of the Crowdfunding strategies.
