Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 化學工程與材料工程系碩士在職專班 === 105 === Recently, natural resources and mineral rapidly decrease due to the numerous consumption for producing high-tech products, resulting the development of precious metal recovery factory. In order to avoid the illegal wastewater disposal to conduct to the secondary pollution, the process of design for demonstrating the optimal wastewater treatment procedure for the effluents emitted from a precious target factory was discussed in this study.
The process design of a full-scale plant was carried out via the analysis of water quality, data collection, and jar test, and then the design was verified by a serious of testing, commissioning and performance testing, and to ensure that the design has satisfied the requirement.
The results show that the best process for the treatment of wastewater is to reduce hexavalent chromium as trivalent chromium, following the hydroxide precipitation and sulfide precipitation methods for removing the other heavy metals. The effluents will be agree the emission standards.
The availability of the design is also confirmed by the full-scale operation in 2007. The removal efficiencies of Cu, Zn, total Cr, and Co ions could reach 92%, as well as that of Ni could above 55%. In 2016, the removal efficiencies of Cu, Zn, total Cr, and Co ions was still above 80%, revealing that the process design is successful and can be applied in the other similar factories.
