In the past decade, the original medical equipment industry needs to comply with new certification due to the new rules and regulations, that drives the industry to continually enhance the core competency which mainly from research and development capacity. This study focuses on the management on the research and development data of the medical industry with the implementation of PDM system. The author carries out literature research and analysis, explore the key elements of successful PDM implementation for medical equipment industry. Other than the literature research and analysis, commercial PDM systems available in the market were studied in terms of software and hardware functionality changes which is driven by the changes from technology and user habit. Induction the cirtical success factors of Medical Device Industry of PDM. And the survey form was designed and gathered feedbacks from industrial experts and the AHP tool was used to analyze the key factors and to define the evaluation proposal to achieve a successful PDM system implementation. Finally, to support the medical equipment industry PDM implementation to be more effective, to solve the R & D problems and meeds on the PDM system.
