Metallic materials are usually used in artificial replacements; there are many successful cases of metallic implants in clinical medicine, but artificial implants still have some reliability issues such as wear, corrosion, fatigue. The purposes of increasing strength of biomedical materials as well as improving corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance, and lowering Young’s modulus can be achieved by adding alloy. Young’s modulus of Ti based metallic glass is lower than human bone, strength and corrosion resistance are also superior to human bone; as a result, Ti based metallic glass has a lot of research value in human bone implants. In this research, Ti based metallic glass is used, elements of alloy are Ti40 Zr30 Cu29 Al1,Ti40 Zr30 Cu27 Al3,Ti40 Zr30 Cu25 Al5,Ti40 Zr30 Cu23 Al7,and melt them individually then shape them with mold into cylinders of 3~6 mm in length, and study the characteristics of dynamic tension of Ti based metallic glass by using Brazilian Disc test (BD) and spit-Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB). The amorphous alloy and crystal structure were analyzed by XRD analysis. SEM observation to investigate the microstructure of the surface topography of the damage.
