In this study, the extraction process of Panax notoginseng saponins was extracted by RO water, 60% methanol solution, 3% NaHCO3 aqueous solution, 3% citric acid aqueous solution and 3% citric acid with 3% salt solution from Panax notoginseng powder. The extracted solutions were obtained by applied ultrasonic waves, and poured into HP-2MG adsorbent resin columns for adsorption and desorption. The eluted solutions were analyzed by FT-IR, UV-Vis and HPLC. The results showed the highest yield of Panax notoginseng saponins, extracted with 60% methanol solution, was 7.51%. The ginsenoside Rg1 and ginsenoside Rb1 were separated by desorbing with 30% methanol solvent and 60% (pH9)methanol solvent from the HP-2MG column, respectively.
