Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 化學工程與材料工程系博碩士班 === 105 === In this study, the various concentrations of nano-zero-valent iron (NZVI) supported on the alumina carrier were prepared for the degradation of heavy metals in water. Chromium ion (Cr6+) and copper ion (Cu2+) were utilized as the examples for the degradation of heavy metals at different pH values and different temperatures. The XRD analysis proves that the NZVI powder was synthesized successfully. After the FE-SEM analysis, it was found that the dispersion effect of NZVI on Al2O3 were better than NZVI powder without loading. Moreover, it was found that the composited- materials shown a less agglomeration than before loading. Using the BET analysis, it was confirmed that the loading of the nanometer zero-valent iron on the carrier could be quite effective to enhance the specific surface area, pore volume and average pore sizes. From the heavy metal degradation examination, the composite material of 1M showed a superb performance.50 ppm of Cr6+can be 100% degradation in five minutes. Moreover, the higher the temperature, the higher the degradation efficiency. The lower the pH value, the better the degradation efficiency. However, the Cu2+ used for the degradation of pollutants, the effect is the same with Cr6+.
