Particularly, as far as the pivot of power system is concerned, such as substation, high voltage power transmission wires, power plant, and etc. should ensure the equipment is protected completely. Therefore, protections of lightening protector, online diagnosis measuring technology, and analysis and judgment of data after measurement are relatively important. At this point, electric parameters of lightening protectors with a variety of brands, including medium power loss (P), dielectric power factors (P.F.), resistive leakage current, the third harmonic current components, and etc., have to be analyzed from leakage current, materials, and insulation resistance to elicit deteriorative condition of lightening protector to evaluate the lightening protector’s life and prevent accidents from happening in advance. In recent years, technology has advanced and grown rapidly, so is measurement of lightening measurement and online monitoring technology.Under such premise,power system’s defense against thunderbolt is raised, and power supply quality is ensured. In this report, we evaluated,analyzed, and synthesized the relationship between measured the third harmonic of leakage current (Magnification) and deterioration degree of lightening protector’s online operation, and proposed suggestions accordingly for reference.
