Description
Summary:碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 環境設計研究所 === 105 === The amount of discarded shipping containers worldwide has grown significantly with the developing of the world factory and the movement of goods. Consequently, the recreating the value of the discarded containers as well as the effectively reusing them as a construction material have long become an important issue to the spatial designer. Employing the skeleton structure of the discarded container, this study re-weaves the surface of containers to fit in the climate and the field characteristics of Tainan, reinforces the cycling value to extend the service life of the containers. Taking the flat landscape of the city boundary and the building type of a display space into account, we successfully create a showcase for shipping containers suitable for the tropical environment of Tainan by virtue of various techniques, such as the stacking of the container, the use of tensioned membrane structure and the construction of the outdoor ladder, to enrich urban landscape of space aesthetics.
