Summary: | 碩士 === 崑山科技大學 === 房地產開發與管理研究所 === 105 === The population in Taiwan is approximately 23.4 million, spread across a total land area of about 36,000 km2, besides that the Taiwan’s geography is 80% mountain and only 20% campaign. According to that, the high building is very important for this island. Taiwan located at the Central Pacific seismic zone, and 15,000 to 18,000 earthquakes has happen each year, of which 800 to 1,000 are noticed by people. The most catastrophic recent earthquake was the magnitude-7.3. Chi-Chi earthquake, which occurred in the center of Taiwan on 21 September 1999, and took more than 2,400 people’s life.
The steel structure is use to resist the strong earthquake, and high building usually design by steel structure, based on this condition, the steel structure building is more and more important for Taiwan. However the construction company is hard to estimate the steel structure building cost.
In this research, a novel numerical model is developed to help the construction company to estimate the costs. This numerical model named the “Comprehensive evaluation index of building cost”, it used the Principal Components Analysis and Regression Analysis to calculate the index. Use this index can help the construction company to estimate the steel structure cost.
