Some scholars still focus on product innovation and the study of consumer and market competitors, or the exploration of the effect of external environment. In other words, external environment only leads to the creation of new product but cannot be the source of supporting long term profit and maintaining market share. But to understand the success of global business innovation, we must delve deeply into the study of influencing business innovation barrier factors. This study targets on 100 bank employees as questionnaire samples. Through empirical analysis, this study discovers the following: The most influential of the business innovation barrier factors include “limited time for innovation development,” “lack of government support and regulations,” “innovation frequency, timeliness and speed,” “innovation risk avoidance,” and “transition of organizational culture.” The least important innovation barrier factors include “lack of high quality technical human resources,” “employee strategic revolution,” “stagnant organization,” “high economic cost and risk due to innovation,” and “leader lacking innovation capability.” Educational level and marital status of the interviewees play a significant role in the view of business innovation barrier factors. Finally, this study suggest that government must establish a suitable environment for business innovation and reduce regulations while strengthening training and reward policy for business innovation. Businesses themselves must provide flexible organization, change organizational culture, and reduce employee resistance from organizational learning while increasing business innovation frequency, timeliness and speed in order to eliminate business innovation barriers and improve business innovation efficiency such that competitive advantage can be created.
