Description
Summary:碩士 === 開南大學 === 商學院碩士在職專班 === 105 === According to relevant research, this study explores three fronts: 1. Further understanding of networking traits and providing complete research structure for networking and personality traits. Using this structure, we can understand how some personal network is important for networking training design. 2. Further developing theory for networking behavior to examine if disparities in personality traits will affect specific networking behavior. The exploration of these disparities will increase our knowledge in networking behavior and clearly verify important discoveries in past personality traits research. 3. Networking behavior is a very important factor in personal career development. We can examine the related research between networking behavior, career development and personality traits. This study adopts a random sampling method by distributing 100 questionnaires with 100 usable questionnaires resulting an effective return rate of 100%. After literature review and case study analysis, our conclusions are: Openness, emotionally stability, extroversion, righteous moral, and approachableness have significant relevance towards networking behavior. Middle school teachers’ personality traits can significantly affect internal and external networking behavior and exhibit significant disparities on gender and age. Based on these findings, we suggest the following: understand why a person would undertake more networking behavior and what type of personality trait would stimulate which type of networking behavior. In the future, we can reference social (extroversion and kindness) and informational (experience openness) personality traits, and the relevance between personality traits and networking behavior can provide organization or individual insights on networking behavior training and career management.
