A Study of Relationship among Personality, Leisure Activity Participation and Sense of Well-being of Senior High School Students in Outlying Islands─A Case Study of Kinmen County

碩士 === 國立金門大學 === 觀光管理學系 === 105 === The motif of the research is to analyze the relationship between high school students’ backgrounds, personality traits, leisure activity participation and their sense of well-being. The research was carried out by means of using questionnaires, Cluster sampling, and its targets were high school students in Kinmen County. A total of 450 questionnaires were delivered and 411 were collected. The recovery rate was 84.9%, and 394 valid questionnaires were obtained. The effective recovery rate was 87.6%. Data processing using SPSS for Windows version 12.0 for reliability and validity analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, one way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regressions. The main findings of this study are as follows: 1. The overall personality traits of high school students in Kinmen County are positive, and "agreeableness", "conscientiousness" and "extraversion " are the main personality traits. The overall frequency of leisure activities is the middle and lower level (occasional participation), with the highest frequency of "Recreationalactivities" and "knowledge and artsactivities". The overall well-being has reached the upper level, with a sense of well-being in the "interpersonal relationship" and "life satisfaction" recognition is higher. 2. The overall personality traits of high school students in Kinmen County vary greatly depending on gender, grade, school system and weekly pocket money. The overall leisure activities of the students in Kinmen County will be significantly different due to gender, grade, school system, family economic status and weekly pocket money. The overall well-being of high school students in Kinmen County will be different due to grade, school system and weekly pocket money. 3. The personality traits and leisure activities of high school students in Kinmen County have significant predictive effect on overall well-being, which can explain the variance of 48.4% of the overall well-being. Among them, the agreeableness of personality traits is the highest, and the variance is 27.3 %. 4. According to the findings and conclusions of this study, it will be provided to parents, teachers and educational units as a reference for cultivating students’personality traits, leisure education and improving students' happiness.In addition, the county government units are provided as a reference for the leisure activities of the county and the promotion of the well-being of the people.
