Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 生物醫學工程學系 === 105 === The scaphoid fracture is the most common carpal bone fracture (60% for all carpal fracture). The usual complication include through the prolonged immobilization result in disuse osteopenia, stiffness and decreased grip strength lead delayed union, nonunion and avascular necrosis. According to previous studies, most for different screw design, although still have some implantation for screw angle, but have many disagreements for central placement or eccentric placement. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of different implantation angle of scaphoid bone screw.
Cadaver experiment and finite element analysis was applied to evaluate the biomechanics stability of the scaphoid.
Fracture stability for treatment has influential, in cadaver experiment for two screw implantation: include central placement and eccentric placement, fracture classification refer to Russe’s.
The solid models of scaphoid and bone screw were reconstructed in CAD. A 2 mm gap was generated to simulate the scaphoid waist fracture. Both central and eccentric implantation of the bone screw was evaluated by finite element analysis. The results of the analysis will record the displacement of the fracture, and also be discussed the stress distribution and the magnitude of the stress .Cadaveric study was also conducted to validate the numerical results.
