Andrographolide is a two-tailed class, is currently widely used in anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial research in the field [1]. Andrographolide is also found to prevent neurodegenerative diseases [2], but may cause harm to cells. To overcome this problem, this study screened the andrographolide biochemically modified microbial strains to produce different andrographolide derivatives and analysis of its derivatives of cytotoxicity and cell protection. At present we have screened some of the microbial strains can be used to transform the andrographolide derivative PA-5. In this study, PC12 nerve cell lines were used to screen for the protective effect of andrographolide derivatives under the damage of Balaulai. The survival rate of the three groups of derivatives was 28.4%, 40.6% and 26.2% at low concentration (2μg / mL) And 50.4%, 50.5% and 54.0% at high concentrations (20 μg / mL), since the second group has a protective effect in the high and low concentrations, so the second group is used for purification and analyzed by HPLC. In order to establish whether the survival rate of PA-5 in cells was higher than that of andrographolide, the cell viability of andrographolide and PA-5 was tested. The cell viability was 88.2% and 87.8% at the high and low concentration of andrographolide, , PA-5 is 100% and 95.6%, PA-5 low concentration does not harm the cells but the cell growth in high concentrations will not hurt the cells, so PA-5 in cell experiments are superior to andrographolide.
