Description
Summary:碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 社會工作學系碩士在職專班 === 105 === The purpose of this study is to explore the situation and the challenges faced by the special education staff in Hsinchu City in using social welfare resources to assist students with physical and mental disabilities. The study was conducted in eight national primary schools in Hsinchu City, using semi-structured interviews to collect research data. The main findings are: 1. The special education workers’ awareness of social and welfare resources for physical and mental disorders: mainly through the public or private sector information transmission or word of mouth between colleagues, parents will help to pull strings. 2. The use of social welfare resources for special education workers: social welfare resources are mainly sought for the five major needs, namely, learning of disabled children, family support, social skills, after-school care needs and resource assistance. 3. The difficulties of using social welfare resources for special education workers are mainly due to the non-compliance of families in need of subsidy, the fact that the subsidies received by parents are not actually used in children, the sources of information are low, and the families in need are rejected by the institutions. The recommendations are as follows: 1. The establishment of the resource platform: to provide an integrated information website, providing public and private sector details and immediate benefits information to facilitate the special education workers or parents to use. 2. In the area of collaboration between special education workers and institutions: it would be more helpful to consolidate the resources available to students by making suggestions for the life and learning of disabled children. 3. In the aspect of application criteria and follow-up of social welfare resources: it is suggested that the public and private sectors should make reference to other indicators such as the teacher's observation report and the learning situation of the students so that more families in need can benefit from this.
